4.1 Overview
4.1.1 Adapter Definition
An Adapter is a bridge between a mediation platform and an advertising SDK. It translates AdMob/TopOn/MAX ad requests, bidding, and display callbacks into calls and callbacks recognized by the Hisavana SSP SDK, enabling Hisavana SSP ads to be loaded, displayed, and billed correctly by the mediation platform.
4.1.2 Mode Overview
| Mediation Platform | AdMob Adapter | TopOn Adapter | MAX Adapter |
|---|---|---|---|
| Integration Mode | Custom Event Waterfall | Bidding | Custom Event Waterfall |
| Sorting Basis | CPM/waterfall priority configured in the AdMob console | TopOn sorts by the real-time Bid Price returned for each request | CPM/waterfall priority configured in the MAX console |
| Whether to Configure a Manual CPM | Yes; used only for waterfall sorting | Configure the bidding method as Bidding in the TopOn console; it is not used as a basis for bidding sort order | Yes; used only for waterfall sorting |
4.1.3 Common Prerequisites
- Create an application in the Hisavana SSP console and obtain the appId.
- Create a code seat that matches the ad format and obtain the codeSeatId.
4.1.4 Notes
Due to internal logic limitations of the TopOn and Google mediation ad SDKs, traffic in offline scenarios cannot be forwarded to the Hisavana SSP SDK through an Adapter. To use Hisavana SSP's offline capabilities, we recommend integrating the Hisavana SSP SDK directly.
